We have a squad launching straight from training camp in Georgia to AMERICA! Yep, while they can’t go international, they will spend 6 weeks in Chicago followed by 6 weeks in Wisconsin.

I love how God made it that we HAD to focus on our nation that so desperately needs the gospel.

Today and tomorrow, I get to teach some of the Racers about evangelism and then take them evangelizing. TT’s M.O.

I decided I would take them to a laundromat next to Park Hill. I told them to share the gospel using dirty laundry analogies and how Jesus makes you clean.

Lol, no I didn’t….just checking to see if you’re paying attention.

On the drive there, one of the Racers talked about how she is so thankful we get to do this big mission in the States of sharing the gospel.

I loved her fresh perspective.

We first met “W” , a 31 year old Christian from Burma, who told us of her faith she couldn’t practice while living in her nation. Then how she moved to a refugee camp in Thailand where she lived 10 YEARS! There she would get baptized in the camp. She couldn’t drive anywhere, the UN brought in her food, etc. 8 years ago she moved to the USA and is so thankful she is free to express her faith here.

I think I needed her perspective.

Then I met 24 year old “A” from somewhere in Latin America. He expressed his uncertainty in Christianity as he said you have this church that says this and the other church says something else. I’m like “Bah-lee-me bro, I feel ya.”

But I didn’t say that.

I said “You know, that’s true and that’s why we need to read the Bible.”

He listened and engaged in dialogue as I carefully explained the gospel to him reading or having him read the Scriptures out of our Racer’s Bible. “A” said he was not ready to choose Jesus. He lives at Park Hill and I got his number so we can go see him again. Or in TT language…we gone find him…again.

I think he needed His perspective.

Other Racers shared with other people too. As we loaded up in the van to leave…my heart smiled as I heard of the Racers courage, boldness, and love to share with total strangers about Jesus. We prayed for each person we shared with as we drove back to AIM’s campus.

Missions isn’t different in America….as long as we don’t perceive it that way. Perspective is huge.

Remember, while we are free to share in America, let’s keep our eyes open to what we GET TO do….sharing the most amazing story with a nation that has heard so many opinions, but just needs One perspective….His.

That’s 20/20 vision.
