Rebekah and i drove one of the WR America vans back from final debrief in Florida to AIM in Gainesville, GA.

We had to pull over and take a picture with Jesus, for President sign.

After-all, He is King.

Eventually we made it back to where it all started at training camp…at the Adventures in Missions base. We dropped off “Mercy”…what B squad named their WR America van.

Rebekah and I caught an Uber back home from the office.

“M” from the Congo picked us up. He has lived in America for 5 years.

TT: What is your most difficult part of living in America?

M: English, my language is French.

We keep talking and I have to email people from AIM concerning the van drop off, etc. Rebekah takes the lead in sharing with him. (I love that….that is how it is supposed to be. We disciple, they grow and by Month 11…they take the conversations:)

M tells us he was a Christian since he was born…which later, Rebekah and I said we were both leery about.

As we talked more and more, it did seem M knew Jesus.

TT: So do you eat Congolese food here?

M: No

(I thought that was odd…..because most people answer that they do eat their native land’s cuisine in America.)

TT: What is Congolese food like?

M: He is everything to us….(and he went on and on about Jesus)

I realized, through our masks and maybe the English limitations, M thought I asked about Jesus when I asked about food. And maybe even in understanding and no limitations, he answered appropriately:)

He is our food.

Jesus, Himself said “My food is to do the will of My Father.” He is the Bread of Life.

I just went with it.

M: Many people in America don’t believe in Jesus.

TT: Yeah, America needs missionaries. Like you told me that missionaries come to your country. We need them here. (Rebekah had already talked about how we ministered in America this year.)

M: One time I asked a man if he believed in Jesus. He said “No.” So I asked him “Why not?” And he said “Because I can’t see Him.”

TT: Oh, yeah, I read this morning in 1 Peter about that! It says we believe in Him though we don’t see him. (See how I used my fresh manna from this morning to feed the hungry?)

M: Yes, we believe though we don’t see.

We got to pray for M as we exited his Uber. Maybe 15 minutes was all we got with M…but those were precious to encourage a fellow brother in Christ from half way around the world to reach America….and keep sharing the gospel.

That’s what our food is like….
