Listen to Alissa….a dear friend of mine talk about why it has been worth the wait for covenant marriage.

One thing that sticks out to me was how she IS the person she is looking for in a spouse. She is vulnerable, seeking the Lord and a woman of honor….qualities she desires in her husband.

I know Alissa will be a woman who treasures her marriage when it happens.

Here is another nugget from Alissa before we finish:

The one thing I was going to mention, I think when I lost my train of thought, was that in the process of seeking the Father and deepening my relationship with the Lord in this season of singleness, I’m always challenged to continue to examine my heart, my perception, and my motives.

It can be tempting to operate out of a spirit of performance. Continuing to be refined and healed, gaining greater self awareness, stronger convictions, and deeper faith in the Lord while currently single, those are all good, but also remembering the heart and character of the Father. He’s not withholding marriage from me until I achieve some “satisfactory” level of sanctification. I would encourage anyone struggling in this season of singleness that you don’t have to earn your way to your next season. It’s simply a blessing to continue to walk with the Lord right where He has you. The things He reveals along the way are simply sweet gifts from Him, that will bless your marriage in the future!
