Yesterday morning, I asked the Lord what He had for the day. He said “Life will pour out of your mouth all day.” So I set out for the office and was pretty much in back to back convos all day with Racers I’ve discipled and are discipling, our WR America leaders, and friends.

I had lunch with my dear friend, Sarah Tilley, from North Carolina. We ate at a Mexican restaurant here in Gainesville and our waitress was “C.”

I began to share the gospel and my testimony with “C”. She shared her story with us. She got pregnant at a young age, is from Mexico, and was as wild as TT in her past. She said while she was in immigration jail, she got a Bible and began to read it which led to her giving her life to the Lord.

She told us how she worked at the hospital but had to stop because they started caring for Coronavirus patients and her son has respiratory problems.

She said next year she will find out if she gets deported or not. I asked if I could pray with her.

Right then and there I prayed with her. After praying for her to be able to become a US Citizen and other things, I lifted my head. “C” was weeping. She asked through her mask, “Can I give you a hug?”

Yep. You sure can. I stood up and hugged her. She asked if she could come to church with us sometime. We got her number and Sarah told her about the church she works at.

For dinner, I met up with my Racer friend, Stephanie Below. We also went to a Mexican restaurant.

Our waitress was “I.” I asked her if she knew what her name meant. She said “yes, I studied it in school.” Yep, it means “Consecrated to God.” I asked if she was a believer in Jesus and she said she was. I told her my name was Teresa.

I asked “Can I pray for you for anything?” Through her mask, we leaned in to hear her. You could tell it was heavy on her heart…what flowed out of her mouth. Her dear friend was recently “in trouble” and her friend is not normally someone who gets in trouble.

I told “I” how Jesus changed my life drastically at age 22. She said her friend’s name was Teresa also and that they were both 22!!!

I prayed with “I” right there at the table and talked about Psalm 18. How when you call on God, He immediately comes to our rescue. When I opened my eyes, tears were flowing from her eyes. She reached down to hug me.

She told us her friend was in jail. She wrote down Psalm 18 to share with Teresa.

What if….y’all…..Teresa comes to know Jesus in jail just like our first waitress did today??????

You CAN NOT make this stuff up!

As Stephanie and I walked out to our cars she looks at me and says “You gave me LIFE.”

She said “life.” Of all the words she could have said….she said the very thing God told me this morning!

Following Jesus is so amazing.
