There are people who talk to the talk and then there are people who walk the walk.

I would much rather follow the walkers. They’re going somewhere.

Yesterday morning, I listened to a sermon from Mike Todd of Transformation Church.

It was about giving over and above your tithe….in the midst of hoarding.

My mom is 68 and my aunt Barb is 70.

They have ALWAYS been super generous and gift givers my whole life. They always care about the ones who don’t have enough, are orphaned/in foster care or in need of assistance.

In our current global crisis of fear, I Facetime my mom yesterday.

Her and aunt Barb are out buying food for the elderly who can’t get food.

Yep, wouldn’t expect anything else.

Joshua and Caleb were the only ones to enter the Promised Land, due to their fearless approach to the giants in the land. God punished the million or so people who freaked out and said they would not enter the land.

Joshua and Caleb had to wait to get their promise of entering the land they knew they could overcome for another 38 years as a result. They, though, full of faith, still suffered corporate punishment of the fearful.

Joshua and Caleb were about 68-78 when they entered into Israel….my Mom and Aunt’s ages.

Talk about rethinking retirement. However, they haven’t just been like this in their retirement….they’ve been like this as long as I’ve known them:)

I am about the age of Joshua and Caleb when they went to spy out the promised land. I pray I will always carry their fearlessness and never be stifled to go with the majority.

My Racer, who just returned from the field, sent me this article today: https://www.opendoorsusa.org/christian-persecution/stories/ease-coronavirus-fears-7-lessons-from-persecuted-christians/

They don’t just pay lip service to passages like these—they live out the truth of the gospel.”
