There is a story (you can read more here) where children were being indoctrinated with who God isn’t. A Christian woman, who fed the kids, would remind the children of who “God is.”

Today, I would like to say God is Sovereign.

I’m a daughter and a slave (Romans 1:1, 6:22) of a Sovereign God, who in control of it all.

God is omniscient.

He knows all things

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things (1 John 3:20) “All” in the greek means all.

O LORD, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, O LORD, you know it completely. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it (Psalm 139:1-6).

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things (1 John 3:20)

Known to God from eternity are all his works (Acts 15:18).

God is omnipresent.

He is everywhere.

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, watching the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3)

“Am I a God who is near,” declares the LORD, “And not a God far off? “Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?” declares the LORD “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:23 – 24)

God is omnipotent.

He is all powerful.

“And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Almighty reigns (Revelation 19:6)”

“I know that You can do all things; no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.” (Job 42:2)

He gives us the choice to accept Him or not and yet He chose us. (John 15:16) It’s both. We aren’t robots. We have free will (Joshua 24:15) and yet He knows the end from the beginning. (Isaiah 46:10)

We were all born in sin so we needed a Savior since not all of us have our names in the book of life. (Rev. 13:8b, 17:8, 21:27)

This is how Paul responds to the ones indoctrinating with

who God isn’t.

Paul to the church of Galatia…yep, the church…#TT’s2020vision

I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.

10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s slave.”

As sons and daughters who are called to be doers of the word (James 1:22) and not merely hearers, who are slaves that were bought with a price, (1 Cor 7:22-23) who offer our body’s as living sacrifices, and who renew our minds to test and approve what God’s pleasing and perfect will is. (Romans 12:2)

As Christians, if we don’t read and study the Bible we will get deceived.

If we don’t know light, we won’t know darkness

when it comes shooting out of a fire hydrant in your ears.

You might get “blown away” but I pray for you don’t get blown OFF

the narrow road Christ has called you to.

Remember who God is
