Today we went out to the Square to share Jesus. But first I started with swapping testimonies of what Jesus had done in the last week….and the stories overflowed.

A shoe went flying again…how this squad shows their excitement and I love every minute of it.

I was with Cole and Kourtney today.

We first met “T” who was probs late 50s early 60s. I wanted to hear his story so bad but he didn’t want to share. I wondered what shame he lived in? I watched Cole share the gospel with him. I watched Kourtney ask him such great questions. I saw them pursue “T” with God’s heart.

When it got to me sharing, I shared scriptures that “T” wrote in his notebook. But when I said what the Scriptures references said, he had a visceral reaction

He got up from the bench and said he had to go.

Thankfully, while he stood….Cole and Kourtney continued like nothing had happened and they were just as calm, confident and cool in their continual pursuit of “T”.

Next we met “L” (maybe in her late twenties) who wouldn’t give us time, but was willing to share she didn’t believe in God because He let something bad happen to her good mom. How I wish she would have given us time to share the hope we had, but I left her with the fact that God had highlighted her to Cole and Kourtney from across the street. That God sees her.

And last but not least, Cole and I talked to “A” who was probs in his twenties and actively working on his lap top. He was studying biology, but was interruptible. He told us he was Catholic, but not really practicing.

I shared the gospel with him and opened the Scripture to show him the word. I asked if he ever had a time like that where he gave his life to the Lord. He hadn’t. Then Cole shared with such passion, tears and joy. “A” could see the difference and expressed it to us how this faith showed.

He was eager and hungry to hear what we had to say and said he wants to think about it. Cole got his number and hopefully we will meet up with “A” again.

We gathered back with the 30 other Racers and leaders to share what God did. I encouraged them to encourage each other with how they stepped out in faith, past their fears, prayed for someone, etc and then pray for one another. We gathered in our teams and did just that.

I encouraged Cole with his passion, his tears, pursuit of other people. Kourtney wasn’t with us for this because she was busy still evangelizing!!!! Lezzzzgo.

Cole told me how, on Gap Year, he is realizing missions isn’t different in America.

Bingo.

Praise God for 18-20 year olds ON FIRE for Jesus

and being willing to talk to strangers.
