This month marks a year since I was made aware of some Christians not believing the Bible is infallible, inerrant and fully true, that hell wasn’t eternal punishment, that God didn’t have wrath, and there was no original sin.
To say a fire burned inside me after discovering this would be a slight understatement.
This awareness led to be discovering what Progressive “Christianity” was. Like a watchman on the wall, I wanted to warn people of this deception.
If you read my blogs this last year, it was a year of flippin’ tables in the temple. When Jesus did that, the chief priests and scribes LOOKED FOR A WAY TO DESTROY HIM. Come in with truth and they want to kill you.
Same same in 2021. Different script. Different players. Darkness always wants to destroy light. But that doesn’t mean we don’t expose because we cling tighter to His infallible Word that says darkness will NOT overcome light.
As I look back on this last year, it is now a picture of persecution that I have in my album. Like the first Ingles had to start small somewhere….TT had to have the first fruits of persecution too. I can only imagine it will get worse from here. This was like pre-school for what is to come.
In Jesus’ day, He confronted the church and I can expect no less.
As He leads me in 2021, to “follow the Lamb wherever He goes”, I have noticed in the Amplified version of the Bible that we must “walk as He walked” to follow Him.
At times it will look like telling Peter “Get behind me Satan” and strongly confronting leaders like Jesus did.
However now…I sense I must also do this….
I will turn the other cheek. Jesus said “Do not resist an evil person. If they slap you on the cheek, give them the other one.” (In our world we would get named a cyclic returner to abuse….but His Kingdom is not of this world.)
Bless those who persecute me.
Pray for those who mistreat me.
Do good to those who hate me.
Love my enemies.
Knowing they will deny or betray me, confident of WHOSE I AM, I will wash their feet.
Bless those who curse me.
Forgive them for they know NOT what they are doing. (sometimes many times a day)
I am turning a corner today. There is a season to expose and a season to wash the people’s feet, who have walked closely with you for years, yet will betray and deny you. Jesus had both in the last supper.
It’s time for me to do the same. I will go and do likewise.
You choose the high road as you get low.
Jesus made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant…and God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him a name that is above every name.
