God tells me things about people.
That I shouldn’t know in the natural.
He tells me what they aren’t saying.
I hear what they aren’t saying like they are saying it.
And I haven’t been released to speak to that directly…
Until a few days ago.
I will speak directly to hearts bypassing all the flattery, superficial, people pleasing ways and what people are presenting to me.
I always admired how Jesus did this. I learned it from Him.
He was a boss, is a boss and will always be a boss.
Lemme give you some examples.
Let’s look at Matthew 9: 1-7. Jesus has a paralytic brought to Him and said to him “Take heart, your sins are forgiven.” The scribes said to THEMSELVES “This man is blaspheming.” But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said “Why do you think evil in your hearts?”
Matthew 12: 22-32. A demon possessed man, blind and mute, was brought to Jesus and He healed him. People were amazed. Religious thought it was it was demonic. “Knowing their thoughts, He said to them….whoever is not with Me is against Me and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”
Matthew 22:15-22 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?” But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? (Ya boy can’t be fooled by flattery.)
Luke 6: 6-11 Man with a shriveled hand. The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand in front of everyone.” So he got up and stood there.
John 6. On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? …Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
John 4. Jesus tells the woman about her life and that became her testimony she spread “He told me all I ever did.”
I am a very direct communicator. This started at my salvation with God giving me the gift of evangelism.
It grew in 2002 when the biggest chunk of the fear of man fell off in my DTS with YWAM. I was also filled with the power of the Spirit and boldness came like never before.
But another shift happened on the World Race. My biggest change on my Race in 2013 was feedback.
People talk to each other that directly? Wow. How healthy….and hard.
I didn’t like it at first. Now I love it. Jesus did too.
Yet I think we like to think Jesus is a cuddly teddy bear that has a button mouth and doesn’t speak to us, much less tell us hard things. I mean, I haven’t met anyone that would say that per se, but the way He gets personified I wonder if that isn’t our dumbed down version of Jesus.
He was a fierce communicator. And I will be too, so help me Jesus. 2020 is a year of fearing God and living. I am seeing clearer than ever. And it’s costly as ever.
Sacrifices on the altar are a pleasing aroma, but God required them to be burnt completely. All my fear of man is leaving quickly. It’s painful, but good.
When you can truly say, “Jesus, YOU are enough” you are fearing God and living. I only got about 78 years on this playing field…and I will burn for Him…until I am utterly consumed and TT is not seen, but Jesus is saying “Oh THAT sacrifice is pleasing.”
Please pray for me that I will stay on the altar and not run to people for affirmation.
