Went for a 6 mile run today.
On the first mile, I felt the Lord nudge me about a man I saw at a picnic table, but I knew it wasn’t the time to talk to him.
One the 6th mile, I sensed God say “Go, tell him about Me.”
He had a mask on and you could smell he was a smoker. Interesting combo.
I asked if he spoke English.
TT: Where are you from?
T: Vietnam.
TT: Oh! I have been to Vietnam! In 2015 and 2016.
T: Did you go for tourism?
TT: No, I went as a nurse and also taught English. And to tell people about Jesus. I was in Danang, Ho Chi Minh and Hue.
TT: Have you ever heard of Jesus?
T: No, I am from the south of Vietnam.
Then I ask if I can use his phone. I type in Jesus and show “T” a picture.
TT: Have you heard of Him before? (like seeing the picture would help)
T: No
TT: Like Christian? Church?
T: No
T was fishing and his fishing pole had a bell on it that rung at that moment.
(I see you God.)
I typed in “Jesus Film Vietnamese” in his phone and showed him the Jesus Film Movie. I said “You can find out more about Him in this video. He wants a relationship with you. You can talk to him.”
With our limitations in communication, I was so thankful for Campus Crusade’s work in the Jesus Film. “T” thought he didn’t know Jesus because he assumed it was someone I met when I was in Vietnam.
May today be his FIRST encounter with the Ultimate Fisher of Men.
